Shop Our Climate Beneficial Farmers in Training This Holiday Season!

We are so proud of our carbon farming cohort in Southeastern New England and all the good work they did this summer into the fall preparing for next year’s pastures. From composting to nutrient management, fencing to no-till direct seeding to silvopasturing, most of our cohort really took on Fibershed’s carbon farming practices.

Our goal for this project is to work on strengthening the regional fiber farming community and to encourage fiber expansion in regeneratively-managed fiber animal grazing land in Southeastern New England. Strengthening also means shopping the farmers this holiday season which we hope you will do.

Each of our farmers is excited about their work and they’ll love to tell you more about the pros and cons and their personal experiences with this new approach and focus. If you don’t live in Massachusetts or Rhode Island, you can learn more about the project in Rebecca Burgess’s new book Fibershed: Growing a Movement of Farmers, Fashion Activists, and Makers for a New Textile Economy.
