Cottage Fiberworks is a Framingham-based business that provides sustainable natural fiber processing for small farms and textile artists. Operating as a micro-mill, they transform raw animal fibers into usable materials, offering services like washing, skirting, picking, carding, roving, and batting.
At Cottage Fiberworks, we want you to imagine wearing a garment that was sourced, designed, and created within 50 miles of where you live. In a world of corporate takeovers and climate worries Cottage Fireworks was created to fill the need for responsible fiber processing. We are starting small, offering limited services with the intent to expand to a full raw wool to spun yarn fiber factory. Our business is based on sustainable practices with an eye on education and profitability.
Are you a small or hobby farm looking to use fiber from your animals? Are you looking to find ways of marketing the fiber for resale? Let’s get our local fiber connected to our local fiber artists and even create new ones! If you are an artist, check out our fiber kits, and if you are a farm, see how your fiber can be packaged for resale!
The mission is to support responsible, local textile production, their goal is to connect local fibers to local fiber artists within a 50-mile radius.
