Join a community of people committed to building a regional fiber system centered around local fibers, local dyes, and local labor in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island!
Without support for this fibershed, all the great work we do simply can’t be done. Your participation directly supports our work to exist and to build a sustainable, regional fiber and textile economy in Southeastern New England. In addition to membership levels, we have added the Circle platform to our site that will allow members as well as the general public to connect for advice, to sell, as well as to purchase fiber, natural dyes, tools and more.

Commonly asked questions about becoming a member:
Do I have to have a business? Yes, but you don’t have to have a storefront. Maybe you sell patterns on Ravelry or have a shop on Etsy, maybe you teach natural dyeing, maybe you are a university textiles teacher, maybe you are a study group around textiles…you are all welcome to join! In addition to makers, we also have museums as members.
Can I join if I am not in Southeastern Massachusetts or Rhode Island? Yes, we have members from the Maine and Connecticut Fibershed right now who see being part of this fibershed helps them. We work with all our sister fibershed organizations in the Northeast and all urge our members to join other fibersheds as well to get more spotlights put on the great work they do!
Am I expected to be active in this fibershed or can my Directory page be enough? Nope, but the more active you are participating in this fibershed, the more you’ll get out of it. We offer monthly member presentations, meet-ups, education and a community willing to help support you with advice and resources. As with anything, those who show up are the people who will benefit most.
Sustainer (annual fee) – $50
The Sustainer level gets you a live page on our Producer Directory with all your social media and website links, frequent shout-outs on Instagram and the opportunity to feature your work on the member section of our Circle online community. It also includes participation in monthly Zooms for member presentations.
Builder (annual fee) – $150
The Builder level gets you all of the above plus an hour of fiber or natural dye consulting with Southeastern New England Fibershed Director Amy DuFault PLUS, the good feeling that comes from supporting an organization hell bent on connecting the fiber community in Southeastern New England.
