Sarah Saulson is a weaver, teacher, dyer and spinner with a studio at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket.  She lives in Providence, Rhode Island.

Sarah has been weaving since her childhood in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She attended art school at Syracuse University, and went on to teach textiles and run the weaving studio there. These days, in her studio practice, she primarily weaves Jewish Prayer Shawls on commission for private clients.  Silk is her favorite fiber to weave with.

Sarah loves teaching, and it has been an important part of her fiber arts practice for many years. She teaches floor loom weaving at the Rhode Island Weaving Center, a teaching and maker space in Wakefield, Rhode Island.  She also teaches and lectures for guilds and at regional weaving conferences, including at NEWS, the New England Weaving Seminar, which is held in odd-numbered years in the summertime. Sarah  teaches at A Place to Weave, in Leominster, Massachusetts.

Sarah enjoys handspinning and knitting with her own handspun yarn.  Her favorite source for spinning fiber is the New England Sheep and Wool Festival at the Big E in West Springfield, Massachusetts early each November.

Sarah is currently on the leadership team of the Weavers Guild of Boston and would be happy to greet you at a meeting.
